Cyclones County Ball
Our County Ball program runs April-June each year.
U13&U18 – League starts April 27, League ends June 17
U11&U15 – League starts April 28, League ends June 18
U5-U9 – League starts May 8, U7&U9 League ends June 19
2026 Season Age Categories Include:
- U5 for players born in 2021, 2022, 2023 (No formal games scheduled)
- U7 for players born in 2018*, 2019, 2020
- U9 for players born in 2017*, 2018*
- U11 for players born in 2015, 2016, 2017*
- U13 for players born in 2013, 2014
- U15 for players born in 2011, 2012
- U18 for players born in 2008, 2009, 2010
*Age overlap within the U7/U9/U11 categories allows for flexibility based on each player’s previous experience. Category placement for overlap is at the discretion of each community.
*All skill levels welcome!

Required equipment for the season
Sangudo Minor Sports has equipment for all age categories.
Our coaches go through each equipment bag to ensure that equipment meets the requirements of Lac Ste. Anne County and Softball Alberta.
Families are welcome to purchase their own equipment for their players, but is not required.
Frequently Ask Questions
All participants must be registered in their appropriate age category based on their birth year.
If you would like to have your child to play up, you must email sangudominorsports@gmail.com with your request including player name, age, years played, age category they are at, what category you would like them to play at and the reason for the player movement.
*Please note: Each request will be reviewed by SMS. Movement requests will be denied if it jeopardize the viability of the team.
As well, we encourage players to register at the younger age category because you can always play up but can not play down at a lower age category*
Please register your child in RAMP, and then email sangudominorsports@gmail.com with the transfer request.
Once registration closes, SMS will review the rosters, transfer and movement requests. After that, Lac Ste. Anne Minor Softball League reviews with all representatives.
Once coaching staff and teams are finalized, you will be notified of your team, coach, practice times and game schedule.
All coaching staff (including managers) must be registered in RAMP prior to Registration closing.
All coaching staff must complete Respect in Sport (valid for 5 years) or Safe in Sport.
SMS also requires a valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerability Sector. SMS can provide a request letter to have this completed, must be completed at local RCMP detachment.
All fees MUST be paid by June 1 or your child(ren) will not be able to participate. If fees are not paid, your child(ren) will not be able to register in future SMS programs.
Fees can be paid via etransfer to sangudominorsports@gmail.com please include your Child(ren) name, and age categories.
Cash can also be brought to Rene Werenka, Jenn Kerr or your Coach.
What is County Ball?
Sangudo Minor Sports is apart of the Lac Ste. Anne Minor Softball League that consists of League Commissioner Bruce Loughridge, plus representatives from each of the participating communities.
We play against other teams that are apart of Lac Ste. Anne Minor Softball League.
